Joel is Group CEO at Charged Asia; an electric motorcycle developer that manufactures, distributes direct to users and exports their own branded cloud connected fleets that are competitive, affordable, and practical compared to traditional combustion motorcycles. To accelerate mass adoption, the scale-up offers a range of flexible subscription plans for their vehicles and is well on its way towards 100,000 subscriptions by the end of 2025 after managing to deploy more than 10,000 subscriptions in 2023 and 2024 their first two years of operations. The scale-up delivers 5 models with up to 7 Kilowatt hour batteries capable of travelling more than 250Km on one full charge.  Charged Asia was founded in 2022 in Greater Jakarta at a 16,000 sqm positive energy “Giga-Shed” powered entirely by solar and battery energy storage to house its experiential centre, research and development, as well as production operations. Charged’s mission is to deploy 10 million bikes in 10 years to lead the adoption of sustainable mobility enabling better health and livelihoods for everyone in South East Asia.
